Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford-upon-Avon is located at the northern edge of the Cotswolds about 20 miles from Cheltenham.

It is the home of William Shakespeare with a theatre offering many Shakespeare productions all year round.

There are five historic houses maintained by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. They comprise Shakespeare's Birthplace, Nash's House and Hall Croft in the centre of the town. Out of town is Anne Hathaway's Cottage at Shottery and in Wilmcote is Mary Arden's House and the Shakespeare Countryside Museum.
